По федеральной программе комплексного развития территорий малых исторических поселений в ближайшие шесть лет отреставрируют остатки азовской крепости, генуэзские ворота и дом коменданта. Предполагаемый объем инвестиций - более полутора миллиардов рублей. Соответствующее соглашение было подписано между правительством Ростовской области и министерством культуры Российской Федерации. Все работы планируют завершить к 2027 году.
