التقى نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية، السيد فؤاد حسين، يوم الأربعاء الموافق 5 شباط 2025، بالمبعوث الخاص للرئيس الروسي إلى الشرق الأوسط ودول أفريقيا، وكيل وزارة الخارجية الروسية، السيد ميخائيل بوغدانوف.
جرى خلال اللقاء بحث العلاقات الثنائية بين العراق وروسيا، مع التركيز على مستوى التفاهم العالي بين وزارتي الخارجية في بغداد وموسكو. كما تم تسليط الضوء على أهمية عقد اجتماع اللجنة العراقية-الروسية المشتركة خلال الشهر الحالي، وضرورة مناقشة الجوانب الاقتصادية بين البلدين ضمن أعمال اللجنة، لا سيما ما يتعلق بالشركات النفطية الروسية العاملة في العراق وسبل تطوير عملها.
كما شهد اللقاء إشادة بالحوار السياسي المعمق بين البلدين والتفاهمات بشأن الأحداث التي تشهدها المنطقة، إضافة إلى التأكيد على أهمية متابعة تنفيذ الاتفاقيات ومذكرات التفاهم التي تم توقيعها خلال الزيارة الأخيرة لرئيس الوزراء العراقي إلى موسكو.

In 2014, Pavel Durov fled the country after allies of the Kremlin took control of the social networking site most know just as VK. Russia's intelligence agency had asked Durov to turn over the data of anti-Kremlin protesters. Durov refused to do so. Perpetrators of these scams will create a public group on Telegram to promote these investment packages that are usually accompanied by fake testimonies and sometimes advertised as being Shariah-compliant. Interested investors will be asked to directly message the representatives to begin investing in the various investment packages offered. Emerson Brooking, a disinformation expert at the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, said: "Back in the Wild West period of content moderation, like 2014 or 2015, maybe they could have gotten away with it, but it stands in marked contrast with how other companies run themselves today." The account, "War on Fakes," was created on February 24, the same day Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "special military operation" and troops began invading Ukraine. The page is rife with disinformation, according to The Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, which studies digital extremism and published a report examining the channel. On December 23rd, 2020, Pavel Durov posted to his channel that the company would need to start generating revenue. In early 2021, he added that any advertising on the platform would not use user data for targeting, and that it would be focused on “large one-to-many channels.” He pledged that ads would be “non-intrusive” and that most users would simply not notice any change.
