می‌بینیم که فراوانی وقوع زمین‌لرزه در برخی استانها بسیار بیش از استانهای دیگر است. کسانی که ادعای پیشگویی زلزله می‌کنند اگر چنین مناطقی را مطرح کنند شانس اینکه پیشگویی‌شان به طور اتفاقی درست شود خیلی بیش از درصدی است که بر اساس تعداد زلزله در سال برای کل کشور حساب کرده باشیم.
در کره زمین هم همین‌طور است مناطقی بسیار زلزله‌خیزند و اگر چندتایشان را روی هم در نظر بگیریم شانس اینکه ظرف چند روز زلزلۀ بزرگی در آنها رخ دهد خیلی زیاد است! هوگربیتس همین کار را می‌کند! اما یا خیلی بدشانس است که پیشگوییهایش اینقدر پرت در می‌آید! یا دارد افراد مدعی پیشگویی را مسخره می‌کند!🤠 اینکه عمداً دارد افراد مدعی پیشگویی را مسخره می‌کند طنز است اما آنچه بدون قصد دارد انجام می‌دهد همین است! کافیست اطلاعات اندکی در مورد فراوانی رخداد زلزله، تعداد پیشگویی‌های این شخص در هفته و وسعت زمان و مکان پیشگوییهایش داشته باشید و احتمال ۱ آمدن در ۳۰۰ بار تاس ریختن را بدانید!
