قال ابن الجوزي في «تلبيس إبليس» ص٣٦٦: «كنت أصلي وراء شيخنا أبي بكر الدينوري الفقيه في زمان الصبا، فرآني مرة أفعل هذا فقال: يا بني إن الفقهاء قد اختلفوا في وجوب قراءة الفاتحة خلف الإمام، ولم يختلفوا في أن الاستفتاح سنة؛ فاشتغل بالواجب ودع السنن».
ولو قيل: ابدأ بالاستفتاح ثم الاستعاذة ثم البسملة.. لأن هذه هي السنة؛ فإن ركع ، فقد فعلت ما أمرت به، وسقط عنك ما لم تتمكن من فعله؛ لم يبعد.
