На случившееся обратил внимание политик от партии “Зеленых” Себастиан Штригель. По его словам, в Цайце неизвестные выкопали и унесли 10 камней, установленных в память о жертвах Холокоста. Stolpersteine (камень преткновения) появились в Германии в 90-ых в годах. Они представляют собой булыжники с табличками, на которых выбиты фамилии жителей Германии, ставших жертвами нацизма. Как правило, булыжник является частью мостовой или тротуара напротив дома, где раньше проживали погибшие. Всего в стране насчитывается порядка 95 тысяч Stolpersteine, только в Берлине их установлено 10 500 штук.

What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. The account, "War on Fakes," was created on February 24, the same day Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "special military operation" and troops began invading Ukraine. The page is rife with disinformation, according to The Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, which studies digital extremism and published a report examining the channel. The gold standard of encryption, known as end-to-end encryption, where only the sender and person who receives the message are able to see it, is available on Telegram only when the Secret Chat function is enabled. Voice and video calls are also completely encrypted. And indeed, volatility has been a hallmark of the market environment so far in 2022, with the S&P 500 still down more than 10% for the year-to-date after first sliding into a correction last month. The CBOE Volatility Index, or VIX, has held at a lofty level of more than 30. You may recall that, back when Facebook started changing WhatsApp’s terms of service, a number of news outlets reported on, and even recommended, switching to Telegram. Pavel Durov even said that users should delete WhatsApp “unless you are cool with all of your photos and messages becoming public one day.” But Telegram can’t be described as a more-secure version of WhatsApp.
