Нашлось интересное свидетельство-2014: тем сложным летом мы, грешным делом, думали, что мавр сделал своё дело и может уходить. Ну, мы ведь решили свою главную задачу, добились главной цели для Севастополя :) Было неясно, на что ещё годимся)
У конкурентов был шанс))) (но это не точно)
Блин, не верится: было 5 человек и ламповый "дворовой" сайт-форум, а теперь нас около 100 человек, 20 редакций (включая соцсети и спецпроекты) лицензированного СМИ, сотрудники в разных городах страны, индексация за 10 секунд)
Коллеги тут подарили мне на НГ футболку "Я руковожу этим цирком"))) Выйду в ней кланяться, когда нам стукнет 20)))

Given the pro-privacy stance of the platform, it’s taken as a given that it’ll be used for a number of reasons, not all of them good. And Telegram has been attached to a fair few scandals related to terrorism, sexual exploitation and crime. Back in 2015, Vox described Telegram as “ISIS’ app of choice,” saying that the platform’s real use is the ability to use channels to distribute material to large groups at once. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. "Your messages about the movement of the enemy through the official chatbot … bring new trophies every day," the government agency tweeted. On Feb. 27, however, he admitted from his Russian-language account that "Telegram channels are increasingly becoming a source of unverified information related to Ukrainian events." In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback.
