Учения представляют собой совместную оборонительную операция сил Альянса в Европе в ответ на гипотетическую атаку России территории одного из членов НАТО.
Маневры будут длиться целых 4 месяца и развернутся на европейской территории от Норвегии и до Румынии.
Всего в учениях примет участие 31 член НАТО и Швеция, будет задействовано 50 кораблей различного назначения, 80 летательных аппаратов, более 1,100 единиц бронетехники и около около 90 000 человек личного состава, включая 20 тысяч британцев, 15 тысяч поляков, 10 немцев и 5000 голландцев (показатели техники кажутся заниженными).
