Да, это те самые реакторы, строительство которых на годы отставало от графика и превысило плановый бюджет больше, чем в два раза, с $14 до $30 млрд. Местные поделились данным, что реально энергоблоки обошлись в $35 миллиардов. Т.е. по $17,5 млрд за энергоблок.
Губернатор Джорджии Кемп так расчувствовался, что выдвинул идею строительства пятого энергоблока Vogtle. Несмотря на то, что потребители Штата оплачивают самую дорогую электростанцию за всю историю, а федералам пришлось выдавать госгарантию на $12 миллиардов, чтобы хоть как-то снизить ценник.
На всё это Крис Вомак — генеральный директор Southern Co., материнской компании той самой Georgia Power, заявил, что поддерживает планы по атомной энергетике, но его компания больше АЭС строить не планирует. Вот и все амбиции.
