Кассеты со свежим топливом доставили в Певек по Северному Морскому пути в специальных транспортировочных контейнерах. Создателем топлива выступило одно из предприятий Росатома.
Перед загрузкой каждая кассета проходит строгий контроль. После этого все они будут последовательно помещены в один из реакторов специальным краном.
Во время работ радиационный фон Певека не менялся, так что местным жителям беспокоиться не о чем.
