В Орле завершилось первенство мира по всестилевому карате среди спортсменов 15–20 лет.
В соревнованиях приняли участие более 2 тысяч атлетов из 28 стран. Они выступали в трёх дисциплинах: «ограниченный контакт», «полный контакт» и «полный контакт в средствах защиты». Оренбургскую область на первенстве представляли 9 спортсменов.
Егор Служаев завоевал золотую медаль в дисциплине «полный контакт в средствах защиты» среди юниоров 16-17 лет в весовой категории 90 кг.
Серебряным медалистом среди юношей 14-15 лет в весе 57 кг стал Матвей Служаев.
