В данных за 14 января имеется усиление межпланетных мерцаний в дневное время на гелиоцентрических расстояниях от 0,4 до 0,6 астрономических единиц. Данное усиление, возможно, связано с выбросом после вспышки C8.1, произошедшей 13 января в активной области 3947 довольно далеко от линии «Солнце-Земля». Такой выброс только краем может задеть Землю, что может вызвать слабую магнитную бурю 15 января.
