…так что пришлось экстренно искать на острове новые штаны. Но это все только для природы и искусства! Поэтому знакомьтесь: полярные крачки.

Гнездятся в северной Сибири, на Кольском, на севере Европы, Канады, Гренландии. Зимуют в Антарктиде и Патагонии. Ежегодно преодолевают расстояние в 70-80 тысяч километров и благодаря этому наблюдают каждый год два лета — арктическое и антарктическое и, соответственно, видят солнечного света больше, чем любые другие существа на земле.

На Азорах у крачек пит-стоп, ну, либо тут ленивые птицы, которые не захотели лететь до Сибири.

Кстати, полярные крачки живут 20-25 лет, следовательно в среднем за жизнь птица преодолевает трехкратное расстояние от Земли до Луны. А предельный возраст жизни полярной крачки — 34 года. Так что я в некотором смысле тоже полярная крачка на излёте, но до луны пока не добралась, так что движемся дальше! ☝🏻
