По словам главы администрации Рязани Виталия Артёмова, концепция предусматривает включение улицы в Большой пешеходный маршрут. Сейчас часть улицы у дома-музея академика Павлова уже является пешеходной. Однако полностью закрыть движение для автотранспорта технически невозможно - это связано с необходимостью подъезда к многоквартирным жилым домам. Но прогулочная зона будет существенно расширена за счет тротуара.
