Студенты-мусульмане, не первый год обучающиеся в СурГУ, считают, что для комфортного обучения в университете им не хватает отдельного помещения для совершения намаза. Они рассказывают, что молиться им приходится под лестницами, так как если попадешься за молитвой в вузе, то будут проблемы. На просьбу организовать им комнату в СурГУ сказали, что они светское учреждение и помещение им никто не выделит.
Также, по словам руководства вуза, официальных обращений от студентов по поводу предоставления отдельных комнат для намаза не поступало.
