Компания MAN Energy Solutions вывела на испытания первый коммерческий двухтактный двухтопливный двигатель с впрыском сжиженного газа и аммиака (LGIA). Мероприятия проходят на заводе Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding в Тамано (Япония).
Как сообщает Seatrade-maritime, после испытаний двигатель MAN B&W 7S60ME-LGIA Mk. 10.5 будет установлен на борту балкера дедвейтом 200 000 тонн, который строится на японской верфи Imabari Shipbuilding. Судно будет оснащено катализатором от MAN в соответствии с требованиями IMO Tier III. Строится балкер по заказу совместного предприятия K-Line и компании по перевозке сыпучих грузов NS United Kaiun Kaisha Ltd и Itochu Corp.
Ожидается, что серия двигателей ME-LGIA с диаметрами цилиндров 500, 600, 700 и 800 мм должны появиться на рынке к концу следующего года, отметили в пресс-служба MAN.
