Несмотря на недавнюю стабилизацию фронта на данном участке, боевики также подтянули свои силы и снова выбили сирийскую армию из Маардаса. Сейчас при поддержке российской авиации подразделения САА пытаются восстановить контроль над городом.

Также сообщается о прибытии в Хаму иракских ополченцев из Хашд аш-Шааби, которые также должны помочь сирийцам в проведении наступательных действий против боевиков.
