🪖 Прах неизвестного солдата был перенесен из братской могилы и торжественно захоронен в Александровском саду у стены московского Кремля. У погребенного воина сохранилась форма, которая помогла определить, что он был рядовым. Каких-либо документов для установления личности при нем не нашли.
8 мая 1967 года появился мемориал «Могила Неизвестного солдата» , в центре которого горит вечный огонь.
