На тот момент акционерами числились "Газпром" (50% плюс одна акция), концерн Shell (27,5% минус одна акция), а также две японские компании Mitsui&Co и Mitsubishi. В итоге японские компании в проекте остались, а Shell решила не входить в состав владельцев.
Самое интересное, что за свой уход Shell все-таки должна была получить деньги – 94,8 млрд рублей от НОВАТЭКа. Ему же, согласно старому распоряжению правительства, предлагалось выкупить долю британцев в проекте.
