В Басманном суде Москвы началось заседание по избранию меры пресечения журналистке Надежде Кеворковой

Следствие просит заключить ее под стражу.

Напомним, Кеворковой предъявлено обвинение в оправдании терроризма. По словам адвоката, ей вменяют публикацию в личном телеграм-канале текста своего коллеги Орхана Джемаля о нападении боевиков на Нальчик (Джемаль был убит в 2018 году, тогда же Кеворкова разместила свой пост).

Второй «эпизод» связан с оправданием деятельности движения «Талибан», признанного в РФ террористической организацией. Текст, на который обратило внимание следствие, был размещен в телеграм-канале в 2021 году.

Надежду Кеворкову задержали 6 мая после обыска в ее квартире в Москве.

Some people used the platform to organize ahead of the storming of the U.S. Capitol in January 2021, and last month Senator Mark Warner sent a letter to Durov urging him to curb Russian information operations on Telegram. There was another possible development: Reuters also reported that Ukraine said that Belarus could soon join the invasion of Ukraine. However, the AFP, citing a Pentagon official, said the U.S. hasn’t yet seen evidence that Belarusian troops are in Ukraine.
