Три года назад Valve, по сути, популяризировала рынок портативных ПК. В честь этого The Verge и аналитическая фирма IDC решили узнать, как обстоят дела у данного сегмента рынка.
В 2022 году было продано около 1.6 млн портативных ПК — учитывается только Steam Deck. В 2023 году начали выходить решения от других компаний, и за год продали свыше 2.8 млн единиц. В прошлом году цифра составила 1.5 млн, а в этом IDC ожидает 1.9 млн проданных устройств.
Путём несложных подсчётов можно понять, что за 3 года продали около 6 миллионов портативных ПК. И 3.7-4 млн приходится на Steam Deck. То есть устройство Valve превосходит суммарные продажи Asus ROG Ally, Lenovo Legion Go и MSI Claw. Важно отметить, что IDC не учитывает GPD, Ayaneo и OneXPlayer других китайских производителей.
Конечно, если сравнивать с популярными портативными консолями, то результат скромный: за 3 года было продано свыше 55 млн Nintendo Switch, у PS Vita около 9 млн (сложно найти достоверную информацию, так как Sony быстро перестала ею делиться), а у PSP за 2,5 года было свыше 25 млн проданных единиц.
