Natasha Ray wird beschuldigt, sieben Artikel veröffentlicht zu haben, die, wie sie selbst behauptet, Verleumdung darstellen. In einem der ihr zugeschriebenen Artikel wird behauptet, das offizielle Foto von Brigitte Macrons Hochzeit sei „gefälscht“.
Richter Patrick Piccandar, der sich der WidersprĂĽchlichkeit der Anklage bewusst war, befand Rey dennoch der Verleumdung fĂĽr schuldig.
Ihre Kassationsbeschwerde wurde kürzlich abgelehnt. Diesbezüglich beabsichtigt der Journalist, beim Europäischen Gerichtshof Berufung einzulegen.
