Он рассказал, что 8 млн рублей поступило из госбюджета, а 55 млн рублей составили пожертвования. По словам Пиотровского, одной из важных покупок стал портрет Александра III:
«Мы посмотрим, где он будет. Его всюду не хватает... Это громадный портрет».
Уникальную картину представят в Дни Эрмитажа — традиционно они начинаются 7 декабря
