Павел Дуров в своём посте в Telegram разъяснил свою позицию о происходящем с ним с момента задержания в Париже в конце августа, где с одной стороны опроверг претензии к Telegram, но с другой — признал, что с абьюзом платформы надо бороться более тщательно.
Во-первых, произошедшее с ним он назвал "интервью", со стороны полиции. Во-вторых, указал, что у Telegram есть контакт для правоохранителей, который можно легко найти в Гугле.
В-третьих, сказал что подход полиции по задержанию гендиректора платформы - не современен. То, что Дуров является ещё и владельцем платформы - он указывать не стал.
Впрочем, в итоге Павел, отрицая то, что Telegram является анархорассадником клоаки, признал, что внутри проекта есть над чем работать в плане усиления модерации активности пользователей, в том числе и абьюзящих её и пообещал "добиться значительного улучшения в этом отношении"

But Telegram says people want to keep their chat history when they get a new phone, and they like having a data backup that will sync their chats across multiple devices. And that is why they let people choose whether they want their messages to be encrypted or not. When not turned on, though, chats are stored on Telegram's services, which are scattered throughout the world. But it has "disclosed 0 bytes of user data to third parties, including governments," Telegram states on its website. In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback. Individual messages can be fully encrypted. But the user has to turn on that function. It's not automatic, as it is on Signal and WhatsApp.
