Главный редактор оппозиционного сайта Azel.tv был задержан в Тбилиси 3 августа. В МВД утверждают, что Садыгов разыскивался Азербайджаном за преступления, связанные с угрозами и вымогательством. Родственники и коллеги называют преследование политическим со стороны Алиева.
4 августа суд в Тбилиси назначил ему экстрадиционное тюремное заключение. 21 сентября Садыгов объявил голодовку с требованием не возвращать его в Азербайджан.
