Павел Сурков в конце августа перешёл с должности главы Татищевского района на пост заместителя главы администрации Саратова. После этого специально под него в мэрию вернули должность первого замглавы городской администрации, на которую Суркова и назначили.
Наблюдатели прогнозируют, что он может сменить Мокроусову на посту главы Саратова.
