Известно, что инвестор в лице «Аэропорт Салехарда», пользуясь статусом преференциального режима резидента АЗРФ, к 2028 году построит новый аэровокзал, переустроит привокзальную площадь и реконструирует текущие объекты, что расширит возможности пассажиропотока до 600 человек в час.
Пока из территорий Ямала к опорным пунктам отнесены — агломерация Салехард-Лабытнанги, Ноябрьск и Новый Уренгой. Для этих территорий подготовлены мастер-планы, в которых прописано стратегическое развитие в долгосрочной перспективе.
