В корпусе Бенуа Русского музея открылась очень милая выставка «Русское Рождество». Экспонаты рассказывают как о религиозной иконографии праздника, так и о том, как он отмечался в течение веков в России: народные гуляния, катальные горки, и так далее. Слава богу, коллекция музея настолько богата, что на эту тему можно сделать очень любопытную экспозицию.

Мне понравилось обилие церковной скульптуры, интегрированной в выставку — получился как будто праздничный торт с кремом. Еще хороши смелые сопоставления старого и нового, для тех, кто сечет фишку и подтексты.

Выставка, к сожалению, очень короткая, всего до 26 января, так что те, кто в Питере — поспешите, рекомендую.
