По данным ФСБ, Гайдук получил задание об организации диверсий на объектах ТЭК в Калининградской области от гражданина Украины Александра Жорова, который имеет вид на жительство в Германии. Последний также передал ему компоненты самодельной бомбы. В машине задержанного нашли пол-литра жидкой взрывчатки. ФСБ назвала Гайдука причастным к подрыву в марте 2024 года трубы газораспределительной станции низкого давления в Калининграде с использованием самодельного взрывного устройства.
