16 декабря исполняется 150 лет со дня рождения профессора Витта Саввина

Витта Николаевич - выпускник медицинского факультета Московского университета. Прошёл научное совершенствование в Институте оперативной хирургии Московского университета под руководством профессора Ф.А. Рейна. В Императорский Томский университет был назначен в качестве профессора на кафедру оперативной хирургии с топографической анатомией и с упражнениями в операциях на трупах медицинского факультета.

Витта Саввин внес огромный вклад в оснащение кафедры необходимыми инструментами и материалами. Также активно привлекал молодежь в науке, организовал научный студенческий кружок. В 1914-1915 годах многократно выезжал в Москву для лечения раненых солдат.
