🇸🇾✝️ - VALLEY OF THE CHRISTIANS, SYRIA: Interview with Jumana Satme, daughter of Samaan Satme & Helen Khashouf, & her family in Australia with SBS Arabic. Militants entered the home & shot dead Helen who was sleeping on the sofa, and started strangling & torturing Samaan. Then they went to the 2nd floor looking for their son but couldn't find him as the room he was in was separate. The family says the claims that Samaan & Helen had money stashed, made a big sale and other such rationalizations made by many were false. Samaan & Helen were barely getting by in their day to day. Even though the militants stole some things, this was not a burglary.
Commentary: arm Syrian Christians to defend from sectarian terrorists.

In the past, it was noticed that through bulk SMSes, investors were induced to invest in or purchase the stocks of certain listed companies. On Telegram’s website, it says that Pavel Durov “supports Telegram financially and ideologically while Nikolai (Duvov)’s input is technological.” Currently, the Telegram team is based in Dubai, having moved around from Berlin, London and Singapore after departing Russia. Meanwhile, the company which owns Telegram is registered in the British Virgin Islands. "He has kind of an old-school cyber-libertarian world view where technology is there to set you free," Maréchal said. Additionally, investors are often instructed to deposit monies into personal bank accounts of individuals who claim to represent a legitimate entity, and/or into an unrelated corporate account. To lend credence and to lure unsuspecting victims, perpetrators usually claim that their entity and/or the investment schemes are approved by financial authorities. "The argument from Telegram is, 'You should trust us because we tell you that we're trustworthy,'" Maréchal said. "It's really in the eye of the beholder whether that's something you want to buy into."
