В июне 2022 года в «Ельцин-центре» сорвалась встреча посла Германии в РФ Геза Андреаса фон Гайра с «общественностью» Екатеринбурга. Но читатели @urallive предоставили фотографии другого, состоявшегося мероприятия.

Встреча генконсула ФРГ Матиаса Крузе в «активистами» Екатеринбурга состоялась 27 января 2021 года — спустя три дня после протестов сторонников Навального**. Собрание проходило в офисе уральского «Мемориала»*.

Видимо, ни один визит немецких дипломатов не обходится без этой организации. Недавний визит фон Гайра совпал по датам с конференцией «История сталинизма», проводимой «Мемориалом»* в «Ельцин-центре».

At this point, however, Durov had already been working on Telegram with his brother, and further planned a mobile-first social network with an explicit focus on anti-censorship. Later in April, he told TechCrunch that he had left Russia and had “no plans to go back,” saying that the nation was currently “incompatible with internet business at the moment.” He added later that he was looking for a country that matched his libertarian ideals to base his next startup.
