В Барнауле провели новогодний праздник для детей, часть которых нарядили в военную форму. В мероприятии участвовали Дед мороз, Снегурочка, и аниматор в костюме Джека Воробья, которого назвали «Бармалеем-либералом». Рядом с ёлкой стояла фигура Сталина, а центр дерева украшал его портрет.
По сценарию утренника ведущая начала спрашивать у детей: «А нужен ли нам либерал?». Получив ожидаемый отрицательный ответ, взрослые вместе с детьми начали кричать: «Бармалей-либерал, уходи!». Тот послушно подчинился.
Председатель совета «Сталин-центра» Сергей Матасов рассказал, что праздник «не носил политического характера».
