Сегодняшний праздник еще называют «Днём независимости России». Сегодня, как никогда, это название наполняется живым смыслом. В условиях беспрецедентных санкций и внешнего давления Россия продолжает отстаивать свою независимость. Немного стран сегодня могут позволить себе возможность самим определять правила и жизненный уклад на собственной земле, опираться на свои силы и придерживаться особого мировоззрения.
У России есть всё и для суверенитета в области технологий. Но, как правильно заметил наш Президент, технологическая независимость невозможна без суверенных решений в сфере внутренней и внешней политики, экономики – и, конечно, без консолидации общества.
Россия будет бороться за свою независимость, защищать и укреплять наши ценности, развивать собственные технологии. Другого пути у нас нет. С праздником! С Днём России!

Some people used the platform to organize ahead of the storming of the U.S. Capitol in January 2021, and last month Senator Mark Warner sent a letter to Durov urging him to curb Russian information operations on Telegram. A Russian Telegram channel with over 700,000 followers is spreading disinformation about Russia's invasion of Ukraine under the guise of providing "objective information" and fact-checking fake news. Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts. Given the pro-privacy stance of the platform, it’s taken as a given that it’ll be used for a number of reasons, not all of them good. And Telegram has been attached to a fair few scandals related to terrorism, sexual exploitation and crime. Back in 2015, Vox described Telegram as “ISIS’ app of choice,” saying that the platform’s real use is the ability to use channels to distribute material to large groups at once. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. But Telegram says people want to keep their chat history when they get a new phone, and they like having a data backup that will sync their chats across multiple devices. And that is why they let people choose whether they want their messages to be encrypted or not. When not turned on, though, chats are stored on Telegram's services, which are scattered throughout the world. But it has "disclosed 0 bytes of user data to third parties, including governments," Telegram states on its website. In addition, Telegram now supports the use of third-party streaming tools like OBS Studio and XSplit to broadcast live video, allowing users to add overlays and multi-screen layouts for a more professional look.
