В безвозмездное пользование Мусульманской религиозной организации города Артема "Ислам" под строительство Казанской мечети передано почти 3 гектара земли в районе улицы Проселочной, 30. Соответствующее соглашение было подписано в администрации Владивостока в пятницу, 17 марта.
"По поводу этого проекта был проведен соцопрос, который показал, что большинство населения Владивостока поддерживают строительство мечети именно на этом месте. Для нас очень важна такая поддержка горожан", - сообщили в Духовном собрании мусульман Приморского края.
Помимо этого, руку к выделению земли под мечеть приложил губернатор Олег Кожемяко - он лично обращался к министру обороны Сергею Шойгу с просьбой вывести этот участок из ведения военного лесничества.
