книга Белла Man of Mathematics (самая интересная книга по истории математики на английском) читается взахлёб. Биографии математиков с органично вплетающимися байками, однако не всегда правдивыми, как признаётся автор:
"It should be noted that the modern higher criticism which has been so effective in discrediting all the interesting anecdotes in the history of mathematics has shown that the astronomical problem was in no way responsible for the loss of Euler’s eye. But how the scholarly critics (or anyone else) come to know so much about the so-called law of cause and effect is a mystery for David Hume’s (a contemporary of Euler) ghost to resolve."
Про Эйлера как минимум половина баек переврана (если не больше). Тем не менее, всячески рекомендую как изящное и вдохновляющее чтение на английском на ночь.
Как минимум Нэш, Робинсон и Дайсон вдохновились книгой настолько, что стали математиками.

Telegram was founded in 2013 by two Russian brothers, Nikolai and Pavel Durov. DFR Lab sent the image through Microsoft Azure's Face Verification program and found that it was "highly unlikely" that the person in the second photo was the same as the first woman. The fact-checker Logically AI also found the claim to be false. The woman, Olena Kurilo, was also captured in a video after the airstrike and shown to have the injuries. For Oleksandra Tsekhanovska, head of the Hybrid Warfare Analytical Group at the Kyiv-based Ukraine Crisis Media Center, the effects are both near- and far-reaching. The original Telegram channel has expanded into a web of accounts for different locations, including specific pages made for individual Russian cities. There's also an English-language website, which states it is owned by the people who run the Telegram channels.
