Центральное командование США впервые опубликовало официальные кадры применения ракеты AGM-114R9X с характерными лезвиями.

Удар был нанесён 23 февраля в сирийской провинции Идлиб по высокопоставленному члену группировки «Хуррас ад-Дин» Мухаммеду Юсуфу Зию Талаю.

Удар стал четвёртым в Сирии за последний месяц, в трёх из них применялись AGM-114R-9X. 16 февраля аналогичной ракетой был нанесён удар по автомобилю ИГ в Сомали.
