Let's talk about demons.

Demons don't live underground or in an underworld. That's all later protestant propaganda. In old texts demons are given the label "Sub-Lunar spirits". In other words demons inhabit all the atmosphere between the Earth and the Moon. But why? Why can't demons go higher?

Because Beings get "locked" into a position in the cosmos. Perhaps you can access everything below you. But you certainly can't access a rung "that you have not previously conquered".

Humans aren't demons. Our souls (or whatever "Metaphysical unit" which your system sees as "unborn" and "undying") get recycled. Sometimes we come back as humans. Sometimes we are absorbed into the seething chthonic river of souls within the Earth.

Whatever. It doesn't matter. We are all oppressed by the "Tyranny of the Circle". Initiation changes our trajectory and we become a "Spiral".

The question is: do we need the help of higher beings in the macrocosmos or can we do it by exclusively working with just the microcosmos?
