For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications. This provided opportunity to their linked entities to offload their shares at higher prices and make significant profits at the cost of unsuspecting retail investors. Despite Telegram's origins, its approach to users' security has privacy advocates worried.
