HiFly Malta планирует отказаться от использования своего единственного Airbus A380 в конце срока аренды самолёта, который наступит в конце этого года.

«После почти трех лет успешной эксплуатации решение не продлевать первоначальный согласованный период аренды было принято в результате пандемии COVID-19, которая резко снизила спрос на очень большие самолеты».

Самолёт Airbus A380 c б/н 9H-MIP получил специальную ливрею «Спасем коралловые рифы» и был одним из самых красивых А380 в мире. Ранее он летал в авиакомпании Singapore Airlines.

Airbus A380 заменят во флоте HiFly дополнительными Airbus A330, меньшими по размеру и «более подходящими для текущих рыночных условий».
