Прибывшие спасатели увидели, что шел дым из окна квартиры на пятом этаже. В ходе разведки выяснилось, что хозяин квартиры находится на балконе, его с помощью спасательного устройства огнеборцы вывели на свежий воздух. Ещё один гражданин сидел на лестничной клетке, его также вывели в безопасную зону. Пожар был ликвидирован на площади 30 кв.м.
Пострадавших мужчин (42 и 44 года) доставили в медицинское учреждение. Предварительная причина пожара - неосторожное обращение с огнем при курении лиц, находящихся в квартире.
