ابول کورکور از جوانان معترض، میهن‌دوست و پادشاهی‌خواه ایذه که به همین دلیل تحت پیگرد نیروهای امنیتی و سرکوبگر جمهوری اسلامی بود، شنبه ۱۸ اسفند ۱۴۰۳ در برابر دوربین لایو اینستاگرام با شلیک گلوله به زندگی خود پایان داد. بر اساس گزارش‌‌های منتشر شده وی در شهر ایذه همراه با سه شهروند دیگر به نام رضا عبدالله زاده، سهراب احمدی و حسین مهری با پرتاب گاز اشک‌آور به درون خانه و شلیک گلوله توسط نیروهای امنیتی در محاصره قرار گرفت و پس از دقایقی با عبارت «خداحافظ ایران» به زندگی خود پایان داد. از سرنوشت همراهان وی خبری در دست نیست. فرمانده انتظامی ایذه گفته است که در «عملیات دستگیری» چند نفر مجروح و بازداشت شدند و یک نفر «خودکشی» کرد.
