Die Milch zuerst in einen Topf füllen und langsam und leicht erwärmen. Sie soll nicht kochen, nur dampfen. Nimm die Milch dann vom Herd und stelle sie beiseite. Kurz abkühlen und die Hefe hineinbröseln. So lange rühren, bis sie völlig aufgelöst ist. Beachte: Wenn die Milch zu heiß ist, stirbt die Hefe ab, sie soll wirklich nur handwarm sein. Jetzt kommen noch Butter und Vanille hinzu und werden mit der Hefemilch vermischt.
Siebe jetzt das Mehl in eine Schüssel und gib Zucker, das ganze Ei und Salz hinein und vermische alles gut. Gieße nun die Milch-Hefemischung dazu und knete einen Teig daraus.
