قال فقيه بلاد اليمن محمد بن علي الشوكاني – رحمه الله – عن الاحتفال بالمولد النبوي في “فتاويه" (٢/ ١٠٨٧-١٠٨٨):
«لم أجد إلى الآن دليلًا يدل على ثبوته من كتاب، ولا سُنة، ولا إجماع، ولا قياس، ولا استدلال. بل أجمع المسلمون: أنَّه لم يوجد في عصر خير القرون، ولا الذين يلونهم، ولا الذين يلونهم. ولم يُنكر أحد مِن المسلمين: أنَّه بدعة».اهـ

Later in April, he told TechCrunch that he had left Russia and had “no plans to go back,” saying that the nation was currently “incompatible with internet business at the moment.” He added later that he was looking for a country that matched his libertarian ideals to base his next startup. "There is a significant risk of insider threat or hacking of Telegram systems that could expose all of these chats to the Russian government," said Eva Galperin with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, which has called for Telegram to improve its privacy practices. It is unclear who runs the account, although Russia's official Ministry of Foreign Affairs Twitter account promoted the Telegram channel on Saturday and claimed it was operated by "a group of experts & journalists." "And that set off kind of a battle royale for control of the platform that Durov eventually lost," said Nathalie Maréchal of the Washington advocacy group Ranking Digital Rights.
