На снимке - скопление молодых звёзд на Млечном Пути (им «всего» от 1 до 5 миллионов лет). Находится такая красота в 2500 световых лет от Земли (я загуглила, чему равен 1 световой год и это число слишком долго писать).

Первое фото получено астрофотографом Майклом Клоу в Аризоне в ноябре 2024 года. Второе сделано в 2023 телескопом WIYN (0.9 м) на вершине горы Китт в Аризоне.

Для создания "космической ёлки" изображения были повернуты по часовой стрелке на 160 градусов, чтобы вершина дерева оказалась сверху. Офигенно!!!!
