Подкрепление сдерживали другие участники шиитской группировки - они обстреливали подразделения израильских войск из РПГ, ПТРК и других видов вооружения. Боестолкновение продолжалось около трех часов. При перестрелке погибли шестеро военнослужащих, четверо получили ранения. Часть пострадавших находится в критическом состоянии. Нападавшим удалось скрыться.

"The argument from Telegram is, 'You should trust us because we tell you that we're trustworthy,'" Maréchal said. "It's really in the eye of the beholder whether that's something you want to buy into."
