Средства, в том числе по штрафам за экологические нарушения, в первую очередь будутнаправляться на ликвидацию объектов, которые оказывают негативное воздействие на окружающую среду. Это могут быть крупные свалки, брошенные предприятия, бесхозные полигоны.
Кроме того, деньги планируется потратить на охрану и защиту лесов, заповедных территорий, водных объектов, растительного и животного мира, на проекты по снижению загрязнения воздуха, рекультивацию земель после добычи полезных ископаемых и другие меры.
Соответствующий механизм заработаетв региональных бюджетах с 1 сентября 2022 года.
