Они получи подтверждение о нахождении в плену для присвоения статуса военнопленного в России, что позволяет включать человека в список на обмен. Видео и телефонные звонки военнопленных с семьями проводились с помощью консультантов Общественного движения по поиску и возвращению военных ВС РФ “Наш выход”.
Средний возраст обменянных – 45 лет. Самому старшему 62 года, самому младшему 37 лет. В среднем военнопленные пробыли в плену немного меньше 10 месяцев. Больше всего обменянных родом из Московской, Воронежской и Самарской областей, а также Приморского и Красноярского краев – по 7 человек.
Военнопленных из подразделений т.н. “ЛДНР” в обмене не было. За весь год Россия вернула лишь пятерых попавших в плен незаконно мобилизованных в Донецкой и Луганской областях.
