The fake Zelenskiy account reached 20,000 followers on Telegram before it was shut down, a remedial action that experts say is all too rare. On December 23rd, 2020, Pavel Durov posted to his channel that the company would need to start generating revenue. They now run it from Dubai, and Pavel Durov says it has more than 500 million monthly active users.
