По состоянию на 23:30 пожарно-спасательными подразделениями ГУ МЧС России по КБР осуществляется окарауливание склона с нижней части горы в окрестностях города Тырныауз. Потушено более 300 метров фронта горения.
Всего от МЧС России привлечено 26 человек и 6 единиц техники, а также 10 человек от Эльбрусского лесничества. Сложности в тушении горения сухой травы связаны крутизной склона, труднодоступностью и темным временем суток.
