Во время экскурсии гости познакомились с экспозицией музея и узнали биографию Зои и Александра Космодемьянских. Экспозиция охватывает три основные темы: личная история и подвиг Зои Космодемьянской, история разведывательно-диверсионной деятельности и партизанского движения в 1941–1942 гг., а также Москва и Московская область в предвоенный период и в годы Великой Отечественной войны. Особое внимание уделено историческим событиям Битвы за Москву.
